Helping Out During the Holidays

At McClanathan, Burg & Associates, we are strong believers in giving back to the community that has been so supportive of our business over the years. Over the 2013 holiday season, our employees helped contribute to a number of community causes.
The Resurrection House
The Resurrection House is faith-based, transitional housing and self-sufficiency program for motivated community families with minor children who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. MBA employees “adopted” a Resurrection House family for the Holidays and shopped and purchased gifts for a mother and her three children.
Ronald McDonald House
A number of MBA employees provided meals for 20 guests at the Ronald McDonald House. This included shopping for ingredients and supplies, preparing and cooking the meals and serving them. The Ronald McDonald house provides a “home away from home” for families that live outside the area who have a child that is being treated at All Children’s Hospital. The Central House (where the meal was served) is for families whose children are in intensive care units. During a very difficult and uncertain times for the families, it was refreshing and uplifting to have a nice dinner waiting for them when they returned from the hospital at night.

Esther Scott and Michell Musial prepare Ronald McDonald House holiday meals for families of critically ill children.
After both outings, MBA employees met for a happy hour celebration at the Ale House in order to enjoy each other’s company and discuss how their experiences helped them more fully enjoy the spirit of giving during the holiday season.
